Countdown to the 2019 Jus` Blues Music Awards Conference

Tunica, MS  May 27, 2019  – The  Jus’ Blues Music Foundation, Inc. (JBMF) is hosting their 19th annual summer spectacular, The 2019 Jus` Blues Music Awards Conference is being held July 31st  through August 3rd at the luxurious Horseshoe Hotel & Casino in Tunica, MS.   JBMF continues to celebrate the legacy of Blacks in Blues with several ancillary events, workshops, and parties in addition to the annual star studded Jus’ Blues Music Awards Show. 

Honorees for the 2019 Jus' Blues Music Awards “Night of the Living Legends” include: Irma Thomas, Little Freddie King, Trudy Lynn, Don Bryant, Gaye Adegbalola, Y Z Ealey, Stevie J Blues, Mickey Rogers, Sweet Angel, Senator Willie Simmons and E. C. Scott.  Many of the top Blues and Southern Soul acts in the country will be in attendance and are currently being scheduled to perform at the Awards Show and various events. The hosts for the “Night of the Living Legends” extravaganza is long time and very popular legendary WDIA Memphis radio personality Bev Johnson.
 
The perennial JBMF Blues Got A Soul Technology Workshop’s theme this year is highlighting a historical look at Legendary Women in the Blues like: Ida Cox, Bessie Smith, Memphis Minnie and others presented by Blues historian Gaye Adegbalola.
 
Additionally, Detroit Dance Master Bobby Green will be teaching Conference participants intricate dance moves that can be put on display at the Jus’ Blues White Linen Party and the Delta style Juke Joint Jam & Fish Fry.
