1) Influencing young minds by educating them about the Blues. 2) Bringing JBMF sponsored artists into pre-school programs, K-12 classrooms and onto college campuses to meet. greet and share their knowledge and music experiences with students. 3)Developing a mentorship program in which JBMF artists serve as personal mentors to students. 4)Providing scholarships to high school mentees to help further their interest in music education and professional musicianship. Over the past 10 years many youth between the ages of 8-17 have benefited from our "Blues Got A Soul" Blues & Soul Education Program. As well as our adults members who have also benefited from our annual Technology Conference during Jus' Blues Music Awards. |
Hard economic times affect all Americans. This is especially true for children and young aspiring musicians. Many students with hidden talents need education & training programs that help them understand their music history. Others can’t afford the instrument they want to play. Some have the will and desire to learn, but no teachers or viable performance outlets to practice.
A portion of our proceeds raised by the of Jus` Blues Music Foundation, Inc. go to support the “BLUES GOT A SOUL” Blues heritage education Projects. We support Blues-in-the-Schools in our efforts while nurturing the Souls of the Blues in the Heart and Souls of our Children.
