BLACK HISTORY MONTH BLUES HERITAGE CELEBRATION

The Jus’ Blues Music Foundation’s, “Blues Got A Soul” Historical Blues Preservation program, will hold a Black History Month program. Music, history, food, fun and a few surprises await Memphis high school students.

In association with Shelby County Schools

"Blues Got A Soul" educational programs bring in guest musician mentors and music educators, dedicated to preserving the historical influences of the Blues. The workshop topics includes, the history of Beale Street Blues heritage, how B. B. King got to Beale Street, how today's popular music styles and sounds connect to the Traditional Blues sounds of yesterday. Class is followed by students networking with educators, mentors and each other.
