Featuring previously unreleased tracks from Trudy Lynn and the late, great Lucky Peterson plus songs specifically recorded for this release from GRAMMY award winner and Jus` Blues Hall of Fame honoree Bobby Rush (performing his tune, "Garbage Man," with harmonica); and Latimore offering his classic remake of "Let's Straighten It Out."
Additional tracks from Benny Turner, Diunna Greenleaf, Teeny Tucker, Jimmy Burns, Zakiya Hooker, Theodis Ealey and Mr. Sipp " The Mississippi Blues Child " complete this rich emotional journey through The Delta, down Beale Street, and into the heart of Southern Soul. Partial proceeds from the project support Jus` Blues Music Foundation's flagship project, 𝔹𝕝𝕦𝕖𝕤 𝔾𝕠𝕥 𝔸 𝕊𝕠𝕦𝕝, which educates young people on the history of the blues bringing JBMF-sponsored artists into secondary and post-secondary schools while developing mentorships with artists and industry professionals as well as providing scholarships to high school mentees to help further their interest in music education and professional musicianship.

Jus’ Blues Music Foundation, Inc. – Nurturing the Soul of the Blues

For more than two decades, Jus’ Blues Music Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has stood as a guardian of America’s most authentic and influential art form — the Blues. Our mission is simple yet vital: to nurture the soul of the Blues while protecting and preserving Blues heritage.

We honor the great originators who built the foundation of this music, as well as the modern-day artists who continue to carry its torch. Through Cultural Heritage Special Events and Historical Blues Educational Programming, we ensure that the contributions of Blues musicians are remembered, respected, and passed on to future generations.

One of our proudest initiatives is Blues-Got-A-Soul, an educational platform designed to give young people access to the rich cultural history and artistic influence of the Blues. This program helps secure the rightful place of the Blues in American history and introduces students to the artistry, resilience, and storytelling embedded in this genre.

In July 2025, we celebrated a historic milestone — the 25th Annual Jus’ Blues Music Awards & Conference. Recognized as the nation’s most important Blues music celebration, the event honored legendary Black Blues artists and industry professionals for their outstanding accomplishments in Blues and Soul music. Each year, this gathering features award presentations, unforgettable live performances, empowering conference sessions, and meaningful opportunities for fellowship and networking.

But our annual awards show is more than a celebration — it’s a fundraiser. The proceeds directly support our Blues-Got-A-Soul educational programs, helping students discover their creative voice, gain confidence, and connect with the cultural heritage that shaped modern music. At Jus’ Blues, we believe the Blues is more than music. It is history. It is culture. It is soul. And it is our mission to ensure this timeless art form continues to thrive for generations to come.

On behalf of our Board of Directors, Executive Board of Advisors, and members, we sincerely thank you for your generosity and continued support. Your financial contributions make it possible for us to carry on the enduring work of nurturing the Soul of the Blues and preserving its rich heritage for generations to come.          You can safely donate  here.
